Norman Keith Cox, age 79, of Henderson, Tennessee, passed away on March 24, 2026, at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.
The family will receive friends at Turners Funeral Home in Luverne on Friday, March 27th, from 11 AM to 12 PM. Funeral services for Norman will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Shackelford Funeral Directors, 304 Crook Avenue, Henderson, Tennessee with interment following at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Crook Ave. Chapel from 9 AM to 2 PM service time on Saturday.
He was born on October 15, 1946, in Henderson, Tennessee. Norman was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He married the love of his life, Ann Glover Cox, on September 25, 1970, and together they built a life centered on family and faith. He attended Chester County High School in Henderson, Tennessee, and was a proud high school graduate. Norman was self-employed in the brokerage industry, working in retail and consumables throughout his career. A proud veteran, he served in the National Guard. He carried a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Davis Cox and Hazel Wanda McAfee Cox.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Ann Glover Cox; his children, David (Lisa) Cox of Luverne and Kevin (Amy) Cox; his grandchildren, Kyler Cox, Connor Cox, Hayden Cox, and Mason Cox; and his great-grandchild, Kynlee Cox. He is also survived by his brothers, Roy Mac (Judy) Cox, Joe Neal (Jean) Cox, Dennis (Jan) Cox, all of Henderson, and Darryl (Elaine) Cox of Lexington; and his sisters, Mahlia (Sonny) Russell of Henderson, Judy (Tim) Daniel of Jackson, and Dee Etta Shires of Henderson.
Norman was an avid sports fan who especially loved cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers. He will be remembered for his love of family, his strong character, and the many memories he created with those who knew him.
Norman Keith Cox will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
