Lloyd Norman Pendley was born October 5, 1937, in Corinth, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Herman L. and Lola Byrd Pendley. He departed this life on January 12, 2020, at the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 7 days. On August, 27, 1960, he was united in marriage to Sandra Hatcher, who survives.
Norman owned and operated Norman Pendley Upholstery for 45 years, retiring 2005. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Norman's goals throughout his life were to provide for and protect his family. He was known for his sense of humor. He never walked away from a problem because he always came up with a solution.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra of 59 years; daughters, Michelle Reynolds and her husband Stan, and Susan Horton and her husband Johnny, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandsons, Blake Reynolds and his wife Morgan of Savannah, Tennessee, and Corey Horton of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Wanda Prince and her husband Terry, and Belinda Beard, all of Huntsville, Alabama; and brother-in-law, Larry Southern and wife Janet of Tuscumbia, Alabama. Norman had very much looked forward to meeting his great-granddaughter, Bo Reynolds, who will be born in February.
Other than his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Pendley; brother-in-law, Larry Beard; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Pendley and Pauletta Southern.
