Novice B. Yopp

April 21, 1923 — January 7, 2016

Mrs. Yopp passed away Thursday morning, January 7, 2015 at her home.

She was a native and life-long resident of Hardeman County, the daughter of the late Burton and Beatrice Cooper. She retired from Western Mental Health Institute in Bolivar after more than 20 years of service. A member of the Rogers Springs Church of Christ, she enjoyed quilting, flowers and her pet dog, "Petey."

She leaves behind two daughters, Rose Bumpus and Patricia Ann (Johnny) Smith of Saulsbury; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Patterson of Middleton; nine grandchildren, Mitchell and Darren Patterson, both of Middleton, Keith (Karen) Bumpus of Middleton, Christopher and Jeffrey Bumpus, both of Saulsbury, Lisa Sparkman of Middleton, Cherry (Nick) Molinaro of Collierville, Charlotte Schweizer of Nashville, and Michael Smith of Murfreesboro; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and one half sister, Evelyn Cooper Finkenbinder of Granger, Indiana.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Roy Lee Patterson; two sisters and two brothers.
