O. B. Evans

O.B. Evanswas born in Lauderdale County, Alabama on April 4, 1923 the son of the late William Henry and Rosa Katherine James Evans.Mr. Evans had worked for Worth-Ratliff Company in Florence, Alabama delivering groceries for 20 years. He was a US Army Veteran and had also worked as a barber. Mr. Evans enjoyed reading, woodworking, and barbering. He attended Bumpus Creek Baptist Church, was a member of the Waterloo Senior Citizens Center and the American Legion in Florence, Alabama.Mr. Evans departed this life Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the age of 87 years, 11 months, 1 day.He is survived by host of nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Jim, Al, Guy, and Elder Evans; 3 sisters, Maude Evans Austin, Estelle Evans Austin, and Gustelle Evans Milligan.
