Odell Helms

Odell Helmswas born in Henderson County, Tennessee on December 5, 1932 the son of the late Hurbert Helms and Virgie Cagle Helms Kelly.On November 1955 he was united in marriage to Bobbie Smith, who preceded him in death on September 28, 2009.Mr. Helms was a Salesman for Winningham Furniture in Adamsville, Tennessee for 45 years. He had also worked for Parris Gun Factory for 4 years. Mr. Helms was a member of The Sanctuary of Milledgeville Pentecostal Church. He was a hard worker and attended church everytime the doors were open. He had lived in Hardin County and Chester County, Tennessee. Mr. Helms was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, he served from 1953-1955.Mr. Helms departed this life on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the age of 77 years, 7 months, 30 days.Mr. Helms is survived by a brother, Gerald Kelly of Reagan, Tennessee.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Helms was preceded in death by a brother, Azell Helms.
