Oliver Doyle Petty

Oliver Doyle Petty was born March 30, 1922 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late John Oliver and Jessie Mullens Petty.
He was united in marriage to Myrlene Springer on December 5, 1946. Mrs. Petty preceded him in death on August 3, 1996.
Mr. Petty was a minister of the gospel and was very proud of sharing the Word in eight different churches for over 50 years. He was a WWII veteran, 32nd degree Mason Scottish Rite Valley of Corinth Orient of MS and taught schools in TN and MS.
Mr. Petty departed this life on May 13, 2014 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 92 Years, 1 Month, 13 Days.
He is survived by two sons, David Petty and wife Gail of Ramer, TN, Jesse Petty and wife Ann of Ramer, TN; two grandchildren, Bryan Petty and wife Brandi of Ramer, TN, Olivia Hutcheson and husband Joshua of Clarksville, IN, two great grandchildren, Sebastien Petty of Augusta, GA, Emma Grace Hutcheson of Clarksville, IN; a step great grandchild, Trae Potter of Ramer, TN; a brother-in-law, Willie Shelton of Ramer, TN.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Petty was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Nell Shelton; two brothers, Lloyd Wallace Petty, James Mullens Petty.
