Mrs. Morris, the wife of Curtis Morris and mother of Gail Morris, Peggy Basham, Curtis Wayne Morris and Bobby Morris, died early Sunday at Bolivar General Hospital.
The wife of Curtis Hall Morris, who survives, she was retired as the manager of the Dollar General Store, becoming the first retiree in company history. She was born to William Thomas Reid and Daisy Atkins Reid, both of whom preceded her in death and lived all of her life here. Mrs. Morris was a member of Bolivar First Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, whom she married on January 13, 1939, survivors include two daughters, Peggy Morris Basham of Gulfport, MS and Gail Morris of Houston, Texas; two sons, Bobby L. Morris of Lexington, Ky and Curtis Wayne Morris of Bolivar; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eunice and Bernice and four brothers, Eddie, Murley, Chester and J.B.
