Opal Hanback Reatherford

Opal Hanback Reatherford departed this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabiliation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 11 Months, 16 Days. She was born May 3, 1923 in Cypress Inn, TN the daughter of the late John William and Clara Martin Hanback. In addition to her parents, Mrs Reatherford was preceded in death, son, Ernie Reatherford, sisters, Jewel Stults, Pearl Reatherford, Ruby Moyer;.

She was united in marriage to Ernest Clyde Reatherford on October 27, 1943. Mr. Reatherford preceded her in death on January 18, 1998.

Mrs. Opal was a homemaker and member of the Collinwood Freewill Baptist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia Phillips of Waynesboro, TN., son, Larry Van Reatherford of Ortonville, MI., grandchildren, David Lowe, Adam Reatherford, Beth Reatherford, Luke Reatherford. great grandchildren, Ben Reatherford, Alex Lowe, Cameron Lowe, Jake Lowe, step granddaughter Brittany McNeese, step great grandchild Talon

Services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home, in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with John E. Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangments.

Visitation will be on Thurday, April 20, 6:--8:00 pm and on Friday, April 21, 12:00 noon until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro
