Mrs. Opal I. Skelton departed this life on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Maury Regional Hospital Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 2 Months, 5 Days. She was born December 4, 1926 in Montgomery, Alabama the daughter of the late Roy and Viola Long Risner. Mrs. Skelton was preceded in death by twin sons; Harry & Larry Skelton ; brother Edgar Risner
Mrs. Skelton was a homemaker. She was united in marriage to Charlie C. Skelton on August 22, 1944.
She is survived by her husband; Charlie C. Skelton of Waynesboro, TN; son, Dannie R. Skelton of Greenwood, IN; daughter, Diana Roney and husband; Marvin of Ft. Worth, TX;
3 grandchildren; , 4 great grandchildren; sister, Geneva Byrd of Waynesboro, TN;
Services are Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro with Cal Hampton officiating. Burial followed in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
