Opal Slusher

OPAL SLUSHER
Enville, TN: Vera Opal Slusher age 86, passed away September 29, 2020 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 3, 1934 in Bad Creek, Kentucky the daughter of the late Claude and Mary Sparks Caldwell. She married Gilbert Slusher and they moved to Chicago in 1963, later to Enville in 1980. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
Mrs. Slusher is survived by three sons, Howard Slusher of Enville, Carl Slusher (Bethany) of Lexington and Tinsley Slusher (Tonya) of Westville, IN; a daughter, Debbie Caldwell (Virgil) of Morris Chapel; ten grandchildren, Jackie Slusher, Kyle Slusher, Shannon Slusher, Nicholas Slusher, Gilbert Slusher, Frank Crumwell, Lisa Hemny, Gus Robbins, Jr., Steven Caldwell, Kristen Caldwell, Bryan Caldwell and Timothy Caldwell and twelve great grandchildren and a brother, Virgil Caldwell (Bessie).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Slusher in 1984; a brother, Richard Caldwell;a sister, Marie Wiggins; two grandsons Gilbert(Shorty) Slusher and Gus Robbins, Jr; and a daughter-in-law Lori Slusher.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 6th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Carl Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Roby Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday.
