OPHELIA HOLMES JORDAN
Henderson, TN: Zolar Ophelia Holmes Jordan, age 98 passed away October 27, 2017 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born November 4, 1918 in the Masseyville Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late William Edgar Holmes and Ora Bell Holmes. She attended schools in Chester County and later became a licensed practical nurse. She was employed by Western State Mental Health in Bolivar for thirty-five years before retiring in 1984.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by one son, Steward Wayne Jordan and his wife Durrell of Henderson; three grandchildren, Justin Jordan (Debbie), Jason Jordan (Tammy) and Shannon Lambert (Brent); five great grandchildren, Alesha Jordan, Jesse Jordan (Kara Beth), Stevie Jordan, Megan Nevis and Jordan Flanagan and three great-great grandchildren, Hayden Byrd, Averi Jordan and Taylor Nevis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dale Jordan; two brothers, Joe Clois Holmes, Sr. and Olen Holmes and a sister Edria Crowe.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday October 31, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Charles Whitten officiating. Burial will follow in Little Hatchie Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 10 AM Tuesday until service time at 2 PM
