Mr. Orlin Henson of Bolivar departed this life at the age of 77 years
Thursday morning, July 12, 2012 at Bolivar General Hospital.
He was born in Whiteville January 18, 1935 to the late Prentiss
Obion and Nancy Hall Henson. On November 8, 1952 he was united
in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Shields, who survives. A 1952
graduate of Whiteville High School, he worked as a heavy
equipment salesman for over thirty years, retiring from Fayette
Equipment. He also worked for CCA. He served his country in the
United States Air Force and lived all of his life in Hardeman County.
He was a member of Whiteville First Baptist Church for over 50 years
and was serving as a deacon there prior to his passing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Janet Pierce
and husband James of Medon and Sheila Dellinger and husband
Clyde of Bolivar; three sons, Donnie Henson and wife Joanne of
Whiteville, Terry Henson and wife Kathi of Eads, and Clifford
Henson and wife Sherri of Henderson; a brother, J. P. Henson of
Whiteville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters,
Martha Hazelwood, Louise Hazelwood and Catherine Cartwright..
