Osco Abernathy Carroll was born March 20, 1930 in the Purdy Community of McNairy County, the son of the late Aubrey Carroll and Ora Lee Hardin Carroll Wilson. He was united in marriage to Wanda Sanders on April 5, 1954.Mr. Carroll was a retired Truck Driver with Carroll Trucking Company. He was a former employee of Brown Shoe Company, the McNairy County Highway Department, and the McNairy County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee, and the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the United States Army.Mr. Carroll departed this life on February 2, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 10 Months, 13 Days.He is survived by his wife Wanda (Sanders) Carroll of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Mitsy Boyd and husband George of Selmer, TN; two sons, Rex Carroll and wife Pam of Adamsville, TN, Tracey Carroll and wife Penny of Selmer, TN; a brother, Theodore "Ted" Wilson of Missouri; six grandchildren, Blake Carroll, Dustin Ruth, Derek Boyd, Brittany Carroll, Darby Boyd, Delana Boyd; a host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Wilson.
