Mr. Armstrong passed away, Saturday, February 6th. He was born in Memphis, on August 14, 1937, the son of Robert Carl Armstrong and Vera Louise Mooneyham Armstrong.
Mr. Armstrong served in the Air Force Reserve and US Navy stationed in Hawaii, Florida and Midway Island. He married Katherine May Dressler, on April 9, 1960.
He lived most of his life in California and Tennessee and received his Associate of Arts degree in Business Adminstration. Mr. Armstrong retired from ITT as a Systems Analyst supporting numerous missile launches at Vandenberg, AFB, CA. He was an active HAM radio operator (N6AZD) and a volunteer with weather and disaster awareness systems. Also, a friend to the the Middleton Art League by creating and providing web services.
He leaves his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Katherine Armstrong of Hornsby; loyal sons, John Armstrong of California and Kenneth Armstrong of Florida; devoted daughters, Sherry Armstrong Allen of California and Kim Armstrong Cavada of Texas. He is survived by sisters Anita Armstrong Hinson of Texas and Sandy Armstrong Meador and brother Charles Armstrong; both of Tennessee.
Mr. Armstrong loved his grandchildren deeply, Chad, Sean, Alyssa and Tyler Armstrong, Connor and Chase Allen, Kyle and Kaitlyn Cavada.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Carl Armstrong.
