Pamela Jane McLain

Pamela Jane McLain tragically lost her battle to cancer on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Jackson TN at the age of 61 years, 6 months, and 15 days.

Pamela was born April 24, 1964 to late Raymond Daniel Franks and Jane Anne Milligan Franks in Savannah, TN. She traveled to Florida, Illinois, and Texas but ultimately settled in Savannah, TN.

Pamela was first and foremost a fierce, dedicated mother. Her greatest loves were her two children and grandchildren. Throughout her life, she mastered many trades. She enjoyed factory work and built everything from shoes to bathtubs. She also spent a lot of time roofing and loved to point out roofs she had worked on.

Pamela was a strong but kind soul. She never found a stray pet she wouldn't take in or a child she wouldn't spoil. She deeply loved her close friends and family. A perfect day for her would be one spent in good company sharing old stories.

In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her spouses James E. Hudson and Maxwell M. McLain.

Pamela leaves behind her two children Jessica Hudson Howe and James Hudson, both of Savannah, TN; two grandchildren Vivian Grace and Freya Catherine of Savannah, TN; many aunts and an uncle; and too many friends to list.

Pamela will be dearly missed by all of her loved ones.
