Pinson, TN: Patricia Jan Tate Newsom age 62 went to be with the Lord Monday morning November 21, 2011.
Mrs. Newsom was born and reared in Madison County, the daughter of the late Arthur Whitford and Lola Atlas Kennedy Tate. She graduated from South Side High School in 1967 and married Jim Newsom in 1973. They made their home in the Diamond Grove Community the past 26 years. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother and Nana. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Finger.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Newsom of Pinson; two sons, Billy Newsom and wife Catherine of Jackson, MS and Darryl Newsom of Pinson; three daughters, Eva Lindley and husband Dwight of Bramer, MO, Dena Canchola and husband Juan of Jackson and Brandi Holder and husband Brian of Jackson; eight grandchildren, David, Megan and Hunter Lindley, Cecilia and Gabriella Canchola, Brailey Holder and Grant and Eric Newsom and a brother, Jimmy Tate of Bells.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeep Tate and two sisters, Mary Hudson and Betty Thorton.
