She was born and reared in Bogalusa, LA (Washington Parish) the daughter of the late Maclauin Dorman and Rosa Mae Lane Dorman Smith. She attended school and graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1953. She was married to Robert David Oden of Bogalusa in 1952. They made their home in Bogalusa until 1975 and then moved to Metairie, LA until 1982 and then moved to Baton Rouge and in 1989 moved to Henderson. She was a bookkeeper for the family business in service stations and convenient stores. She was a Baptist.
Her hobbies were fishing, macramé, puzzles, gardening, cooking and she loved to take care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert David “Bob†Oden; four daughters, Dawn Allen (Sid) of Bogalusa, LA, Sherry Brooks (Bill) of Baton Rouge, Tracie Guggenheim (Jim) of Chagrin Falls, OH and Jill Egros (Ronny) of Finger, TN; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
