Patricia Smothers

March 31, 1938 — February 8, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia Smothers; born on March 31, 1938 in McNairy County, Tennessee. She departed this life to be with our Heavenly Father on February 8, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 88 years. (87 years, 10 months, and 8 days.)

The daughter of the late Austin and Elsie Griffin Kemp. Patricia is preceded in death by her brothers, Glendon Kemp Sr. and Paul Kemp; Sisters, Sundra Burkeen and Virginia Joyce Kemp; Great-grandchildren, Julius Jacob and Ruby Jane Levine.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa and Doug Cook, and son Mark Smothers. Sisters, Linda and Otis Harville and Shelia Lowder. Grandchildren, Laura and Jake Levine, Leigh Ann and John Cannon, Lissa Medlin, Lukas and Claire Medlin. Great-grandchildren, Skyla Michele and Fremin Stonaker, Jolene Ariana, Demyan Quinncy, Juliette Elizabeth, Luther Campbell III, Luke Wallace (Wally) and two soon-to-be born great-grandchildren.

She was a kind-hearted woman, a hard worker and held many positions in her life. She was the provider for her family and always looked after their needs. She held a strong faith in the Lord. Patricia enjoyed her gardening, and her flowers, the Tennessee Iris being her favorite. We rest easy knowing her tribulations and pain of this life is complete, and she is now in the presence of the Lord. She is loved and will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
