Patricia Perkins (Miss Pat) Williams

Patricia Lynn Perkins Williams, known to most as Mrs. Pat or PatPat, of Savannah, TN passed from this life on November 3, 2017 at 61 years and 8 months. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 3, 1956 to the late Kenneth and Louise Perkins. She grew up in Morris Chapel, TN with her sister Pam. Graduating from Central High School in 1974 she then attended UT Martin completing her undergraduate degree in Home Economics in 1977 and then gained her Masters degree in 1979 from Memphis State University. She was united in marriage with Donald Williams on July 30th, 1977. They had two children, Creed and Amber.

Pat was a servant of the Lord, worshiping at the Savannah Church of Christ, Director of Love-N-Learn Preschool for 26 years, volunteer on the Board at the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse for 10 years, Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year Award recipient in 2015 and countless other selfless acts of kindness and hospitality throughout her life. Pat enjoyed family time, travel, parties, shopping, coffee and talking to anyone who would listen. Actually, they didn’t even have to listen. She just loved to talk.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald Williams, her son, Creed Allen Williams and wife, Kara of Knoxville, TN, her daughter, Amber Williams Pritchard and husband, Jonathan of Decatur, AL, as well as four adored grand children, Reese, Preston, and Hadley Williams and Ike Pritchard. She is also survived by her sister, Pam Emert, husband Kit of Lancaster, PA, nieces Jessica Emert, Jennifer Turner, husband Stuart, and Georgia Post, husband Casey, and nephew, Paul Emert.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the works dearest to her heart: Love-N-Learn Preschool and The Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
