Mrs. Wilson passed from this life on Saturday evening, August 29, 2020 at home in Pocahontas, TN. She was the widow of Mr. J. C. Wilson who died in August, 2015.
Born in Somerville, her parents were the late Walter James and Thelma Louise Davis Crutcher. She lived most all of her life in Hardeman County and was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Solley; and seven brothers, Thomas, C. V., Jr., Claudie, Ricky, Bobby and Charles Crutcher.
A member of the Rocky Springs Baptist Church, Mrs. Wilson married J. C. Wilson on June 14, 1969 and was primarily a homemaker, but had also been a security guard at Kilgore in Toone, worked at Johnson's Worm Ranch and had the sanitation route, with her husband, in the Hornsby community for many years.
When she wasn't working, she loved being in church or with her family. An avid card player, she loved traditional country music and always had it playing in the background while at home.
She leaves two daughters, Pamela Wilson of Pocahontas and Jennifer Wilson of Middleton; a son, Jason Wilson of Toone; a sister, Frances Sarten (Steve) of Saulsbury; two brothers, Wayne Crutcher of Whiteville and Ray Crutcher (Ann) of Memphis; nine grandchildren, Colten White, Brittini Jackson (Nick), Hunter and Knoxx Wilson, Carson Simons, Graelon Pulse, Jace Berryman, Jeff and Matthew Wilson; and four great-grandchildren, Deacon and Ainsley Jackson, Lyla and Lilly Wilson.
While visiting or attending services for Mrs. Wilson, please consider the following guidelines:
* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
