PATSY WILKINS

Henderson TN: Patsy Yvonne Woodward Wilkins, age 73, passed away at her home on September 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Washington, IL on October 3, 1952, daughter of Betty Jo Lee Smith Woodward and the late Billy Guy Woodward. Patsy was a 1970 graduate of Washington Community High School. She graduated from Mid-State College in 1971 completing her business degree.

Patsy met Jerry at Guinn’s Food Market when he was 17 and she was 13. It was truly love at first sight. They married on November 27, 1971, and would have been married for 55 years.

She worked as a secretary for Sanford Hill Baptist Church for 24 years. Patsy was “The Lady” as she knew all and could do all! She had a servant’s heart and loved the Lord with all her heart, mind and soul. In their years of marriage, Patsy had a hand in leading Jerry to the Lord, something he will always cherish. She was a member of Sanford Hill Baptist Church.

Patsy loved to volunteer at East Chester Elementary School when her daughters were in school. She was even a stay-at-home mom for 10 years caring for them. She loved her large family and especially her two girls.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Jerry Wilkins; two daughters, Heather Melton (Chris) and Stacey Dunaway (Scott) both of Henderson; her mother, Betty Jo Woodward; a brother, Kenny Woodward (Annette) of Washington, IL; a sister, Lorie Woodward of Henderson; four grandchildren, Caleb Dunaway (Emiri) of Japan, Rachel Johnson (Tyler) of Jackson and Luke and Katy Melton both of Henderson; and a great grandchild, Ellie Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister Cheryl Whites and her husband, Jim.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 19, 2026, at Sanford Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Dunaway and Chris Melton officiating. Burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Patsy was a lady loved by not only her family, but those who knew her. She will be missed.
