Patty Plunk Robertson

July 16, 1929 — March 11, 2012

Mrs. Patty Jean Glisson Plunk Robertson (July 16, 1928 - March 11, 2012) of Bolivar passed away at Pine Meadows Healthcare. She was the widow of Charles D. Plunk, who passed away November 5, 1987, and Rev. Fulton Robertson, who passed away October 23, 2011. She worked as a homemaker and received several awards for her service as Chairman of the American Red Cross in Hardeman County.



Mrs. Robertson was born in the Tri-City area of Gibson County to John Haywood and Mary Elizabeth Glisson on July 16, 1928. She was a member of the Bolivar Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 57 years where she served as an elder during her earlier years. She also was a past Sunday School teacher of the primary class and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Women.



Mrs. Robertson is survived by three children, Dianna Lynn Smith and husband Vance Smith; Patrice Grantham and husband Don Grantham; and Charles Glisson Plunk and wife Cindy Jacobs Plunk; five grandchildren, Vance Smith II, Heather (Damon) Thomas, April (Kevin) Vales; Britney Grantham and Christen E. Plunk; and five great-grandchildren, Shelby Smith, Katelyn, Hannah and Madison Thomas, and Cody Vales, all of Bolivar. She also leaves one brother, Jack J. (Retha) Glisson of Dresden; three nieces, Faith Hadley, Carol Strawbridge and Debbie Wood; and three nephews, Dr. Buddy Glisson, John E. Glisson and Mark Hornoff.



In addition to her husband, former husband and parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, David Lee Plunk; a brother, Robert Carroll Glisson; two sisters, Ella Blanche Stuckey and Roselyn Glisson; and a niece, Dawn Riggins.
