Paul C. Carroll, a beloved member of the Adamsville, TN community, passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 85 Years and 22 Days.

Paul was born on June 11, 1938, in McNairy County, TN to the late Cecil and Gethia May Cummings Carroll. He grew up surrounded by a loving family and developed strong values that would guide him throughout his life.

On July 16, 1982, Paul married Wanda Croft. They spent an incredible 41 years together, supporting each other through life's joys and challenges.

Mr. Carroll began his career in construction as an apprentice carpenter. With determination and hard work, he quickly ascended the ranks to become a master carpenter. His skills were evident as he went on to serve as a superintendent and eventually became an independent building contractor.

In addition to his successful career in construction, Paul also dedicated himself to serving his community. He served as the City of Adamsville building inspector and played an active role on both the city planning commission and as a vocational advisor to Adamsville High School. His contributions left a lasting impact on the development and growth of the area.

Paul was highly regarded for his integrity and trustworthiness. People knew him as a man whose word was his bond - a simple handshake sealed any agreement he made. These qualities earned him respect not only within the community but across surrounding areas.

A faithful member of First Baptist Church in Adamsville, Paul found solace and strength in his faith. 

Mr. Paul Carroll is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Carroll;  children, Janet Risner, Steve (Tammy) Carroll, Lewis Carroll, and Matt (Kenzie) Carroll; grandchildren: Jeremy Williams, Melissa Williams, Ami Williams, Jess Williams, Lance Carroll, Caleb Carroll, and Sara Grace Carroll (Kepley); his sister, Peggy Blurton; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his daughter Kathy Williams; his brother Garland D. Carroll and sister Mary Francis Smith (Louie). 

Paul C. Carroll will always be remembered as a dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather, a reliable friend, and a man of unwavering values. His legacy is one of honor, integrity, and kindness - qualities that will continue to inspire others for generations to come.
