Paul Joyner

Paul Joyner passed away on May 22, 2025 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 3 months, and 22 days. Born on February 1, 1939 in Finger, TN to the late Oscar and Lueela Williams Joyner. Paul's life was filled with love, joy, and cherished memories.

In his late teens, Paul began working at Baker Brother’s Upholstery in Jackson, TN. After what sounded like a fairy tale love story Paul was united in marriage to Lois Birmingham on May 1, 1957. Paul was drafted into the United States Army where he served as a military police officer. Paul later started his own business, Elvis' Upholstery. (Elvis being a nickname given to him during his time at Baker Brother's.)

While Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering on various projects, his greatest joy in life was his wife Lois, son Jeffery and grandchildren Lindsey and Hunter. Their presence brought him immense happiness, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Paul was a good man that loved his whole family.

Paul is survived by his son, Jeffery Joyner of Jackson, TN; two grandchildren, Lindsey Joyner and Hunter Joyner both of Bethel Springs, TN; sister-in-law, Violet Joyner; brother-in-law, Peewee Lemons; nieces and nephews, Will Joyner, Tyler Joyner, Steven Joyner, Kristen Joyner, William Lemons, Virginia Mayfield, Dorothy Johnson, Patsy Joyner, Sandra Long, Bobby Joyner, Robbie Owens, and Tony Joyner.

In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by four brothers: J.L. Joyner, Charles Joyner, E.O. Joyner, Jackie Joyner; granddaughter, Shelby Joyner; in-laws, Thurman Birmingham and Raynelle Ross Birmingham; sister-in-law, Charlene Birmingham Lemons; brother-in-law, Bill Birmingham.
