Paul David "P.D." Owens

Mr. Paul David "P.D." Owens was born March 8, 1943 in Waynesboro, TN to the union of the late O.J. and Martha Lynn Owens. Mr. Owens was an appliance repairman, a farmer and a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church in Waynesboro, TN. He was united in marriage to the former Linda Franks on July 14, 1968. Mr. Owens departed this life on Sunday, September 1, 2019 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, making his stay in this life some 76 Years, 5 Months and 24 Days.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Franks Owens, a son, James Owens, a daughter, Sarah Owens Parker and husband, Bill, a sister, Ruth Ann Graham and husband, Bruce and a nephew, Brian Harris and wife, Tina all of Waynesboro, TN. He is also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Owens was preceded in death by a brother, J. Lynn Owens and a nephew Anthony Harris.

Services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Craig Mason officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with
Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 4 pm to 8 pm and Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 10 am to service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chaston Morrow, Scottie Blalock, Matthew Creecy, Sam Holt, Brilee Harris and Stoney Lynn. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Lynn, Hershel Lynn, Mike Lynn, Danny Blalock, John David Roberts and Kenny Britt.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Butterfly Foundation.
