Paul Revere Patterson

Paul Revere Patterson of Florence, AL was born September 15, 1933 in Cypress Inn, TN, the son of the late Floyd and Ruthie Wright Patterson. He was united in marriage to Angela Wilson on November 8, 1986. Mr. Patterson was a superintendent for 43 years at Harmon Glass, having worked in Florida, Indiana, Georgia, Ohio and Michigan. He was a member of Cloverdale First Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama and was a member of Union #1165. Mr. Patterson departed this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at his home at the age of 85 Years, 1 Month, 8 Days. He is survived by his wife, Angela Wilson Patterson, Florence, AL; sons, Paul (Robin) Patterson, Bushnell, Fl, Larry (Debbie) Patterson, South Bend, IN, David (Melissa) Shaffer of Bloomington, IN and Matt Shaffer, Muncie, IN; daughters, Cathy Patterson, Las Vegas, NV and Tonya Dabbs, Muncie, IN; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gaines, Jerry and Elton Patterson all of Kennett, MO and Donald Patterson, Hot Springs, AR; sisters, Margie Davis, Kennett, MO, Geneve McCrary, Dallas, GA, Martha Scott, Ackworth, GA and Alene Putnam and Lorine Harris both of Florence, AL; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert and Dave Patterson and sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Worrell and Cathy Patterson. Services will be Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with David Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Friday, October 26, 2018 from 3 pm to 7 pm and Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 1 pm to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Roos, Darrell Bossung, Brandon Stapleton, Nick Shaffer, Paul Patterson and Larry Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Brubaker, Matt Minniear and Vaught McCarter.
