Paul Blake Ratliff was born on May 12, 1935 in Pikeville, Kentucky, the son of the late Arvid and Sadie Bartley Ratliff.
On December 22, 1956, he was united in marriage to Louise Bowling Ratliff, who survives.
Mr. Ratliff previously worked for B & B Construction Company and retired from the Paper Mill where he worked as a supervisor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee. He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and doing projects around his house. He also loved fishing with his good buddy Jamie D. Perkins, who preceded him in death.
Paul Blake Ratliff departed this life on February 18, 2017 at the age of 81 years, 9 months, 6 days.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Louise Ratliff of Adamsville, Tennessee; daughter, Carolyn Phillips of Adamsville, Tennessee; 2 sisters, Virginia Dare Garber of Grundy, Virginia and Wanda Williams of Michigan; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Maness Baxter and Greg Blair; 6 great grandchildren, Gavin Blake Baxter, Morgan Blair Baxter, Trevor Blair, Lauren Hughes, Coleman Blair, and Reid Blair; 2 great great grandchildren, Madelyn Hughes and Olivia Hughes; and good friend and neighbor, Mike Merryman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Evelyn K. Maness; son, Larry Blair; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters.
