Paulette Kiernan

Paulette Kiernan, 59 as of August 24 this year, entered eternal life on November 15, 2025. She was born and raised in Antioch, CA. She had her oldest son Michael in 1984 and her daughter Ericka in 1986. She met Patrick Kiernan in May of 1989 at a Bad Company concert at the Concord Pavilion in California. They were instantly soul mates. They had a son together, PJ in 1995 and got married on July 17, 2002.

Paulette and Patrick had their first home together in Oakley, CA later moving to Botkins, Ohio where they had their first ranch. In 2016, they settled in Selmer, TN where Patrick helped fulfill her dream of a real ranch. Several family members have moved to Selmer since then to be closer to her and the family.

Paulette, a cowgirl at heart was fierce, loyal, witty, and bright woman who left a mark on everyone she met. Her loss is a devastating detriment to her family and her community. Even as a pillar in her family, she was free and adventurous, always celebrating life - living fully. A woman of many means, she loved taking motorcycle rides with her husband and insisted on riding her own bike (which she did). Her love of horses, dogs, and chickens gave her joy - you would only understand if you knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard David Madera; her grandmother and matriarch of the family, Emma Earls.

Paulette is survived by her husband, Patrick Kiernan; mother and stepfather, Juanita and Michael Tays; in-laws, Pat and Pam Kiernan; sister, BrandyJo Ballard and husband, Gene; her children, Michael, Ericka (fiancé, Zack) and PJ; her grandchildren, Dallis, Ryelyn, Maddix, Madison and Carsyn; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her precious animals on the ranch she shared with her husband, Patrick.
