Pauline Mayes, 87, of Saulsbury, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 at NHC Healthcare in Somerville.
Born February 24, 1922 to the late John and Laura Orman Wilkerson, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Mayes loved flowers, cooking, and her family states she was a good mother. Since 1949, she spent most of her life in Hardeman County and worked in retail and factory. Married to the late Bilbo Mayes, who died March 16, 1991, she was a member of Saulsbury Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula and her husband David McAlpin of Jonesboro, AR, Bonnie Johnson of Saulsbury; four sons and their wives, Bob Mayes, Ralph and Barbara Mayes, J.C. Mayes, Harold and Jan Mayes, all of Saulsbury; one sister, Patsy Smith of Ripley, MS; nine grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
