Pauline Stewart

April 18, 1932 — September 19, 2021

Mrs. Stewart, the wife of J. D. Stewart of Middleton, passed from this life Sunday evening, September 19, 2021 at her home.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by two daughters, Paula Pickens of Jackson and Judy (Keith) Williams of Piperton; one sister, Mildred Bryan of Smyrna, TN; four grandchildren, Ragon (Cory) Hobbs of Arlington, TN, Clint Cox of Middleton, Brooke (Brad) McNutt of Moulton, AL and Sara (Travis) Heflin of Niceville, FL; and six great-grandchildren, Mallory and Max Hobbs, Drew, Conner and Reed McNutt and Graham Heflin.

She was born in Ashland, MS, the daughter of the late Sidney and Evelyn Stamey Nelms and was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Dowdy; and four brothers, Frank, Bill, Robert and Marlin Nelms.

Mrs. Stewart was an active member of the Middleton Church of Christ and a homemaker. Having lived most all of her life in Hardeman County, she enjoyed flowers, shopping, traveling and time spent with her grandchildren.
