Mrs. Earnest, the widow of Claude Earnest, died Sunday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Jeff and Era Hodge Mynatt and lived most all of her life in Hardeman County. She was a homemaker who loved quilting, working with flowers and gardening. Mrs. Earnest was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church located in the edge of McNairy County.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Stephens of Middleton; two sons, James H. Earnest and Ray Earnest, both of Middleton; a sister, Wynell Koch of Malesus; a brother, Clint Mynatt of Bolivar; four grandchildren, Kim Emerson, Robert Stephens, Andrew Crum, and Brandon Earnest; and four great grandchildren, Alex Crum, Katelyn, Connor, and Campbell Emerson. The family wishes to say a special thank you to the special caregivers, Mary Norton and Reba Vaughn and others who have helped with Mrs. Earnest's care.
In addition to her husband, to whom she was married for 57 years, and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Willie Tucker and three brothers, Curtis, Grady and Parnell Mynatt.
