Ms. Bishop passed away Monday morning, December 10 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. A native of Bolivar, she was head of adjunctive therapy at Western Mental Health Institute, retiring in May of 2000 after 29 years of employment. She was born to the late James Aubrey Baker and Zettie Eloise Jackson Baker of Bolivar and lived all of her life here. She loved floral work and baking for weddings. Mrs. Bishop was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, survivors include two sons, Barry Bishop of Lexington and Richie Bishop of Jackson; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Allen, Johnathan, Michael and Matthew Crews, Christian and Whitney Bishop; and one great grandchild, Kaitlyn McKenzie Crews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Baker.
