Peggy Jane Gage Davis

Peggy Jane Gage Davis age 84 of Selmer, TN, passed from this life on April 30, 2016 in Jackson, TN. She was born in Bethel Springs, TN, to the late Christopher Columbus and Clara Jane Jenkins Gage. She graduated from Bethel Springs High School in 1950. After graduating, Peggy began her working career with the love of fashion at Littlefields in Selmer, TN. While working on Court Ave, Peggy met the love of her life Earl E. Davis and they got married on January 10, 1955. Earl preceded her in death on October 7, 1993. In 1981 she ended her career working for Cherry's in Selmer. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church of Selmer since 1987. Peggy loved spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Emily Landreth and husband Danny of Selmer; two grandchildren, Jill Goodrum and husband Jonathan of Selmer and Ross Landreth of Selmer; a great granddaughter, Audrey Goodrum; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Poindexter and husband Andy of Ramer, and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by five siblings: Layton Gage, John Buford "Bud" Gage, Martin Gage, Joe Gage and Betty Gage Smith; and her mother-in-law, Sally Davis Sipes.
