Peggy Kay Dixon

Peggy Kay Dixon of Collinwood, TN was born July 22, 1938 in Collinwood, TN, the daughter of the late Calvin S. and Lillie E. Bryant Dixon. She was united in marriage to Charles Grayson Dixon on June 16, 1955 and he preceded her in death on October 26, 2017.

Mrs. Dixon was an insurance agent with Dixon Insurance and worked with Dixon Jewelry. She was a member of the Shawnettee Church, Collinwood, Tennessee and the Rocky Top Ramblers. Mrs. Dixon departed this life on Monday, October 11, 2021 at her home at the age of 83 Years, 2 Months, 19 Days.

She is survived by a son, Gregory Charles Dixon and a daughter, Sheron Dixon Arrington both of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Elizabeth Daniel, husband, Matthew and Gabrielle and Analise Arrington and honorary grandchild, Tobie Reed; a great-grandchild, Nadiya Daniel; a sister, Carolyn Love, husband, Billy of Collinwood, TN and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Kay Dixon; brothers, Thomas, Ray and Kenneth Dixon and a sister, Bessie Mae Keeton.

Services will be Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Jason Love officiating. Burial will follow in Shawnettee Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm and Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 1 pm to service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Stacey Wharton, Brad Reed, Timmy Keeton, Thomas Wisdom, Carl Wisdom and Mark Gobbell.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the Butterfly Foundation or to a charity of the senders choice.
