Peggy Sue McLain was born February 3, 1948 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of Lee (Dan) Daniel and the late Ruthie Mae Killingsworth Eaker.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth McLain on March 23, 1964.
Mrs. McLain worked for Brown Shoe Company until it closed. She then worked for the McNairy County Board of Education for 34 plus years as a school bus driver and substituted in the cafeteria. It was easier to say, "Peggy worked for the Board of Education" because she filled many roles.
She was a nurturer, provider, and caregiver of her family. Every child born in her family received a "Peggy crochet blanket" not only would she do it at birth but also in adulthood. She provided food for her family through her canning and freezing of garden vegetables. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and flower gardens. She was an avid collector and fan of Dale Earnhardt, which may have carried over into her driving.
Peggy's favorite times were those spent with her husband, Kenneth. They would often spend Saturday and Sunday just riding the roads. They both loved spending time with each other and their grandchildren.
Mrs. McLain departed this life on March 17, 2019 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 1 Month, 14 Days.
