Peggy Plunk Steele was born on October 4, 1936 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Marvin and Hester Lee Hinton Scott.
On August 1, 1959, she was united in marriage to Jake Plunk, who preceded his wife in death on January 25, 1977. She later married Robert L. Steele, who also preceded her in death.
Peggy was a member of Savannah Church of Christ and Fraternal Order of Police. She previously worked for Southwest Human Resource Department transporting patients and also worked as a private duty caregiver. She loved to spend time traveling and she deeply loved her family.
Peggy Plunk Steele went Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 12, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 8 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Plunk Adams and her husband Scott of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Jake (Petie) Plunk, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Danna Porter of Savannah, Tennessee and Patricia Davidson of Sheffield, Alabama; brother, Don Scott of Bartlett, Tennessee; grandchildren, Lace Adams Pickens, Yasmin Adams, Morgan Plunk Bricker, Beth Plunk, and Ethan Plunk; and great grandchildren, Zayli Pickens, Zane Pickens, Jean Ann Bricker, JT Bricker, Creed Adams, and Asher Adams, due on August 26, 2023.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers, James Scott and Bobby Scott and great grandson, Axel Adams.
