Penne Lynn Price Sims

Penne Lynn Price Sims, 60, of Pocahontas, passed from this life Sunday morning, February 12, 2023, at Bolivar General Hospital.

She was born Sunday, September 23, 1962, in Memphis, daughter of the late Billy Price and Sandra Kay Daniel Horner, living all of her life in Hardeman County. She worked as a cashier at the Shop Easy in Walnut, MS prior to becoming disabled. She married Sidney "Buster" Sims, III on January 15, 1986, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2012. She enjoyed cooking and doing crafts, but especially loved being around her son. Mrs. Sims was a member of Pocahontas First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Sidney Sims, IV of Pocahontas; her stepmother, Fran Price of Alberta, AL; two brothers, Scott Price of Saulsbury and Scott Willis of Acworth, GA; a stepdaughter, Christy Cherkesky of Franklin and a stepson, Jerry Sims of Providence, RI. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joshua Price.
