PERRY HEARN

Henderson, TN: Perry Marvin Hearn age 73, passed away August 16, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born February 6, 1948 in Henderson and grew up in Henderson, the son of the late John Marvin “Jim’ Hearn, Jr. and Maxine Dale Cox Hearn. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1966. He had a full career in Law Enforcement. He began working with the Bellaire Police Department in Bellaire, TX and worked twenty years. He moved to Henderson and worked for the Jackson Police Department, and helped to originate the SWAT Team. He graduated from the FBI National Academy December 13, 1985. He became Chief of Police for the City of Henderson in March 1983, and retired in May of 1993.

After retirement he worked for Essary Farms at Milledgeville. He enjoyed fishing and shooting pistol competition in Henderson and Bellaire. He was a member of the Henderson Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church.

Mr. Hearn is survived by his wife, Susan Kay Casteel Hearn of Henderson; two daughters, Tina Burkeens of Henderson and Jennifer Hearn of Houston, TX; four grandchildren and a half brother, Jerry Marsh of Livingston, TX.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 21st at Trinity Cemetery.
