Phillip Brian Jerrolds was born 7/11/1958 the third son of William O (Billy) and Opal Neill Jerrolds. He lived most of his life in the Burnt Church Community attending Whites Elementary school (not that he wanted to go to school when he was young). Phillip graduated from Hardin County High School and attended UNA in Florence for a time.
Growing up Phillip enjoyed playing basketball with the neighbor kids and cousins, reading and attending walking horse shows to watch his brother ride. A true history buff, Phillip could recount events from World History, U S History and the heritage of Burnt Church with remarkable detail. Phillip attended Double Springs Baptist Church when he was able. He enjoyed hearing his cousin Wayne Jerrolds' bluegrass and gospel performances at Savannah Healthcare and his brother Clay's country and western tunes. Yet it was the rock anthem "Philadelphia Freedom" that held a special place in his heart—often requested during car rides.
Phillip leaves his nephews Wesley (Joni) Jerrolds of Savannah, Kevin Jerrolds of
Birmingham AL, Corben (Amber) Jerrolds of Savannah and Lane Jerrolds of Savannah. He also leaves his sister-in-law Janet (Mike) Jerrolds, along with a host of cousins and relatives.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Clay Jerrolds and Mike Jerrolds both of Savannah. Phillip will be remembered for his gentle spirit and encyclopedic memory by all who knew him.
