Preston Roten

Preston Roten was born October 19, 1935 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late James Dewey and Nola Causey Roten.He was united in marriage to Carolyn Campbell on November 30, 1979.Mr. Roten was a retired professional truck driver, having worked for McLean Trucking Company and Consolidated Freightways. He was a member of the Collierville First Assembly of God Church, a United States Air Force Veteran, a member of the VFW, Teamsters Local 667 of Memphis, and Gideons International. Mr. Roten departed this life on August 28, 2010 in Collierville, Tennessee at the age of 74 Years, 10 Months, 9 Days. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Roten of Byhalia, MS; a son, Geoff Roten and wife Missy of Fairview, TN; three daughters: Cynthia Woolsey and husband Frank of Olive Branch, MS, Shea Noe of Byhalia, MS, and Tonya Morris and husband Joey of Southaven, MS; a sister, Shelbie Jean Richardson and husband Glen of Memphis, TN; a brother, John Roy Roten and wife Sybil of Selmer, TN; a sister-in-law, Rebecca Roten of Selmer, TN; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Roten was preceded in death by a brother, James Robert Roten.
