R. D. Moore

R D Moore was born December 24, 1921 in Selmer, Tennessee the son of the late Cornelius and Nora Hicks Moore.He was united in marriage to Lura Corinne Moore on December 20, 1947.Mr. Moore worked as a shoe cutter for 37 years at Brown Shoe Company and was a cattle farmer. He was of the Methodist belief and served his country in the Army during WWII.Mr. Moore departed this life on February 9, 2007 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 1 Month, 16 Days. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Corinne Moore of Selmer, Tennessee; daughter, Chandra D. Moore of Selmer, Tennessee.In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Dee Moore; two sisters, Grace Bateman and Essie Gilbert; two brothers, Arlie Moore and Herman Moore.
