Rachel Farene Brown

Rachel Farene Brown was born January 18, 1933 in Chester County, TN the daughter of the late Clyde and Annie Mae Young.

She was united in marriage to Sammy Brown in May of 1994.

Mrs. Brown graduated from Chester County High School and the LPN program offered through the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Crump. She was employed as a LPN for Western Mental Health Institute in Bolivar for approximately 5 years. Working in her flower garden and baking pretty cakes were some of Mrs. Brown's favorite pastimes, but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. She was a long-time member of Adamsville First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brown departed this life on March 10, 2020 at her home in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 1 Month, 21 Days. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Sammy Brown of Adamsville, TN; three sons: Gary Jones, Reginald Jones and wife Debbie, and Kelly Jones and wife Jana; three daughters: Clenette Moore, Sammie Jo Hardy and husband Rickie, and Jan Renee Brown; fifteen grandchildren: Lucas Jones and wife Kayla, Colton Jones and wife Kayley, Steven Moore and wife Jennifer, Scarlett Gattis and husband Brian, Landon Simmons and wife Libba, Holly Simmons, Tara Redditt and husband Paul, Taylor McMurry and husband Ty, Bridgette Bryant, Heather Graham, Clay Bryant, Samantha Campbell and husband Tyler, Shelby Hardy, Charlie Brown, and Danielle Bearden; fourteen great-grandchildren: Malachi Jones, Micah Jones, Ella Moore, Addison Moore, Amelia Moore, London Gattis, Mahlon Gattis, Charleston Gattis, Hunter Sweat, Mamie Jones, McKenna Roland, Khloe Bryant, Harper Graham, and Olivia Austin; a great-great-grandchild, Sophie Sweat; her best friend and sister of the heart, Mary Jane Tenry; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickey Simmons, and a son, Terry Brown.
