Rachel Franks departed this life on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at the age of 75 years, 1 month, 6 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late Jamie and Willie Baugus Franks. On June 28, 1965, he was united in marriage to Pauline Hopper, who survives.
Mr. Franks was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the Nixon Pentecostal Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He enjoyed reading the Bible, building old tractors, and taking care of his family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pauline Hopper Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Danny Ray Franks and wife, Wanda of Savannah, Tennessee; stepsons, Bobby Paul Cherry and Larry Joe Harville both of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Peggy Becham and Reba Franks both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Natalie Franks, Larry Harville, Jr., Tina Renae Rickman, David Nicholas Harville, Brandy Nicole Shields, and Christen Faith Cherry; great grandchildren, Anna Harville, Emily Harville, Preston Styers, Jacob Styers, Blake Harville, Ryan Harville, and Neveah Shields; and a daughter-in-law, Gail Sanders of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Earl Franks, Larry Joe Franks, and Jimmy Franks.
