RACHEL CURRY SMITH
was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama on March 7, 1942 the daughter of the late Vernon and Ollie Gibbs Curry.
On May 4, 1963 she was united in marriage to J. B. Smith, who survives.
Rachel was a homemaker and had also been the bookkeeper for J. B. Smith & Son Trucking Company for over 40 years. She loved life and spending time with people, especially her granddaughter and great grandchildren.
She departed this life on Monday, November 13, 2017, at the age of 75 years, 8 months, and 6 days.
Rachel is survived by her husband of 54 years, J. B. Smith of Savannah, Tennessee; one son, Mark Dewayne Smith and his wife Tonya of Savannah, Tennessee; one grandchild, Samantha JoAnn Duncan and her husband Nick; two great grandchildren, Kason Tide Duncan and Kyleigh Duncan; one brother, Carrol Curry and his wife Linda of Waterloo, Alabama.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Carl Curry.
