Raleigh Fay Brewer

Raleigh Fay Brewer, Sr. of Waynesboro, TN was born February 27, 1937 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late William Clarence and Willie Ailene Nutt Brewer. He was united in marriage to Doris Jean Hall on September 13, 1971. Mr. Brewer was retired from the State of Tennessee from highway construction and engineering. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee, served in the Tennesse National Guard, and had served as the director of the Wayne County Senior Citizens and the director of the Wayne County Public Transportation.Mr. Brewer departed this life on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 7 Months, 12 Days.He is survived by his wife, Doris Jean Brewer of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Raleigh Fay Brewer Jr. of Franklin, TN; a grandson, Samuel Clayton Brewer; three sisters, Betty Jean Webb, Geraldine Herring, and Dorothy Inman all of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews.Services will be Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Whitney Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Jamie Brewer, Kyle Brewer, John Wilkes, Mike Hall, Wayne McMillan, Allen Barnett, Sonny Holt, and Joshua McMIllan.
