Ralph Donovan Wilson

Beech Bluff TN: Ralph Donovan “Pop†Wilson, age 82 passed away February 4, 2011 at his home in Beech Bluff.
He was born and reared in Bemis, TN the son of the late Robert Lee and Lois Margaret Brown Cearley Wilson. He went to school in Madison County and graduated from Malesus High School in 1946. He entered the US Navy in 1946, serving 2 years and then enlisted in the US Air Force. While in the US Air Force he became a Flight Line Mechanic. He retired after 22 years as a Master Sergeant. In 1949 he married Ramona Doris McCormick of the Five Points Community. They made their home in various places around the world. In 1969 they moved to the Parkburg Community in Madison County and in 1995 they moved to the Beech Bluff /Five Points Community. He retired from Owens Corning in 1987. Mrs. Wilson passed away in January of 2006. Mr.Wilson loved to go bowling, gardening and playing card games. He was a member of the Parkburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons Bob Wilson of Haymarket, VA and Pete Wilson of Goose Creek, SC and by three daughters Donna Bain of Olive Springs, TN, Darlene Wilson of Jackson, TN and Mary Lee of Beech Bluff, TN; a brother Richard Wilson, Modesto, CA. and 15 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren.
