Randy Joe Martin of Waynesboro, TN was born July 24, 1954 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Alfred Franklin and Gladys Duren Martin. He was united in marriage to Janice Berry on May 1, 1973.
Mr. Martin was owner of Martin & Martin Construction and did excavation work. He was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Mr. Martin departed this life on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 59 Years, 6 Months, 7 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Berry Martin; a son, Billy Joe Martin and wife, Angela; a daughter, Amanda Jo Moore and husband, Cleveland; three grandchildren, Braylen andBresden Martin and Mason Moore all of Waynesboro, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Ray, and Ricky Allan Martin; a sister, Carolyn Beckham.
Services will be Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Pinckley and Gregg Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Paul Taylor, Mike Gallian, Barry Crews, Michael Duren, Rex Moore, James Haggard, Tommy Tinin, and Danny Crews. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Stanfield, John Davis, Martin Haggard, and David Duren.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm and Monday, February 3, 2014 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Waynesboro Church of Christ Benevolence Fund.
