RANDY MASSENGILL

Cumberland City, TN: Randy Keith Massengill, age 63, passed away April 13, 2026, at Three Rivers Hospital, Waverly, TN.

He was born on April 7, 1963, in Savannah, TN, the son of Carol Jane Willis Langendorf and the late John Sidney Massengill. He grew up in Henderson and Memphis, Tennessee and was a graduate of White Station High School in Memphis in 1981.

After high school he then entered in the U.S. Navy and served four years, serving in Jacksonville, Florida, FL, San Francisco, California and Adak, Alaska.

He worked various jobs such as Memphis International Airport, the McKellar-Sipes Airport in Jackson, then became a crane operator and worked for Oldham’s Crane and Rigging for twenty-nine years until their closing. He then worked travel jobs for the Union. He was a longstanding member of the (IUOE) #369, International Union of Operating Engineers, in Nashville and Memphis area.

During this time, he met Karen Williams in 2017, and they enjoyed nine years together.

He loved music, playing the guitar, keyboard and he also loved to sing.

He enjoyed gardening, flowers, nature and the outdoors.

Randy is survived by his wife, Karen Parchment Williams, of Cumberland City, TN: two sons, Randall Massengill (Amy) of Atoka, TN and Robert Lynn Wilson (Angela) of Henderson; his mother, Carol Jane Willis Langendorf of Henderson; ten grandchildren, one deceased grandchild; and one great grandchild; a sister, Angela Renae Denegri (Mark) of Memphis, TN.

He is also survived by his beloved cat Susie.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 18th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue, with Pastor Danny Duke officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetlips Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 304 Crook Avenue, Henderson, TN 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM service time on Saturday.
