Randy "Bud" Smith

Randy "Bud" Smith was born on February 25, 1959 in Corinth, Mississippi, the son of the late Ottie and Ruby Smith.

On November 21, 1986, he was united in marriage to Deb Shaw, who survives.

As a proud graduate of Pickwick Southside, Bud was in the last class to graduate in 1977. He retired from Continental Construction Company where he worked as a crane and heavy equipment operator for more than 30 years. During his career he traveled all over the United States, including Puerto Rico. He was a member of Pickwick Church of Christ, International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union 369 - Memphis, and The Clubhouse. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and hanging out with all his friends at The Clubhouse. Bud loved the lake, Talladega trips, and watching NASCAR. Most of all, he enjoyed every minute he was able to spend with his grandkids.

Randy "Bud" Smith departed this life on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 66 years, 9 months, and 12 days.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deb Smith of Counce, Tennessee; sons, Justin Smith and his wife Adie of Counce, Tennessee and Brandon Smith and his wife Heather of Selmer, Tennessee; brother, Rickey T. Smith and his wife Susan; sister in law, Sandy Shaw; nieces, Jennifer Burks and her husband Brandon and Tabitha Petty and her husband Chipp; mother in law, Gale Shaw; and grandchildren, Maggie Killingsworth, Knox Smith, Raegan Smith, and Charlotte Smith.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Culwell; brother in law, Jim Earl Culwell; maternal grandparents, Archie A. and Leller Morris Parsons; and paternal grandparents, Edd and Ethel Shipman Smith.
