Ray Jones

Ray Jones, age 83, passed away Friday morning at his home in Henderson.

Ray was born in Chester County, TN on April 9, 1942, son of the late Lonnie Wilford and Mary Ruth Linton Jones. He grew up in Chester County and attended Glendale School.

He married Patricia Barrett on March 25, 1967 and they spent most of their 58 years together living in Henderson.

Ray began working at Robbins Tool & Die in 1970. This later became Henderson Stamping and Ray retired  from here as a press operator in 2004 after 34 years.  He worked for another 5 years running his own lawn care business.

He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and going to car shows.

Ray was a member of Sanford Hill Baptist Church.  He was beloved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat Jones; two sons Michael and Donald Jones; a brother Ronald Jones (Wanda) all of Henderson; two grandchildren Alex Jones and Aiden Jones, and two nonbiological, grace given grandchildren Stacy Brown and Ken Kitchen II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Debbie Goodwin.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday November 12, 2025, at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Crook Avenue Chapel. Burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM service time Wednesday.
